We’re sure that this news won’t come as a surprise to most of you, but having tried to keep Reiver hopes alive, we must now concede that we won’t all be gathering in Kielder in April. The Dirty Reiver 2021 is now booked in for the weekend of September 11th. We have also agreed an April 2022 date with Forestry England too (weekend of April 23rd). You now have three options: 1. Leave your entry live for September 11th 2. Request a refund 3. Transfer your entry to April 2022 Option 1 is the default, so if you want to ride the event in September, you can sit back and relax, safe in the knowledge that you are entered (actually – get out and keep training). OVERVIEW Our gravel event returns for a second year. It’s ideal for gravel bikes, MTBs, cyclocross bikes & ebikes & takes in the best gravel trails of East Devon. New for 2022 is our extreme 100K route. All four routes take in some of the best sections of Woodbury Common. Highlights include Woodbury Castle & some great single track on the common, a section of the Exe Estuary path, a climb up for views of the sea at the top of Beacon Hill and also Mutter Moor. Starting in the historical city of Bath, the route heads north into the stunning Cotswolds AONB, which as many bikers know, is such a great area to ride. The route has been created with the purpose of linking the many fun descents this area offers.. There are incredibly over TWENTY FIVE significant down hill sections on this route which of course means a lot of uphill too! The 200 MILE route covers the full length of The Cotswolds area there and back. This isn’t a regular ‘there n back’ route though – the return leg is on an entirely different route!    GHOSTRIDER GRAVEL BIKE RACE OVERVIEW The GhostRider Gravel Bike Race is the epic nighttime gravel bike race you’ve been searching for. The concept of the GhostRider is to conquer a 13-mile gravel bike circuit as often as you choose in a 4-hour time window, all under cover of darkness. The GhostRider Gravel Event will take place on the 26th of November, starting at 4 pm. Combining 50% Gravel and 50% tarmac, the circuit starts just north of the village of Helmsley in the North York Moors at Harriet Air Farm, with a 2.5-mile road section to begin with. There will be a professional photographer out on the course, taking action photos as a memento of your day with us. All photos are free.
