GATEHOUSE OF FLEET, SCOTLAND – Raiders Gravel Galloway presented by Canyon is the UK’s newest gravel event. A 4-day international gravel stage race. A uniquely Scottish gravel adventure awaits riders in the heart of the Galloway Forest Park. The 4-day festival features 3 gravel riding stages where riders explore the many corners of the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere taking in the natural wonders, wildlife and serene outdoors. This premium all-inclusive event has the optimal mix of adventure, entertainment, culture and relaxation, guaranteeing an unforgettable time in the South of Scotland. Raiders Gravel is a team event where riders enter and participate in teams of two. The inaugural edition will take place from October 7th to 10th 2021. Team entry packages include daily breakfast, recovery lunch and dinner, evening entertainment, welcome drinks, GPS rider tracking, professionally managed race route, special inaugural edition finisher medals, camping pitch (BYO tent) or motorhome parking, MucOff

We’re excited to introduce the King’s Cup Gravel Festival to you! The event features a Gravel Fondo (78km & 52km), Gravel Race (78km & 52km), a Time Trial (18.1km) and a Team Relay (4x 18.1km). We'll also have on-site camping and live music to make for a great festival atmosphere once we're finally allowed back to enjoying sports events! 😅🙏We’re also particularly excited to host the inaugural British Gravel Championships. Winners of the Men’s Gravel Races, Women’s Gravel Race, Men’s Gravel Time Trial and Women’s Gravel Time Trial will be crowned British Gravel Champions and be presented with a unique British Gravel Champion jersey. The festival provides a week packed with activities for those who love the fresh air and adventure, including walking, running, mountain biking, bikepacking, fishing, sailing and inspiring talks.The festival starts with a two-day bikepacking event on Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 September, the Surly Dunoon Dirt Dash, which attracts riders from across the UK, including Jenny Tough, the first woman to finish the Silk Road Mountain Race in 2018, Steve Bate MBE, Double Paralympic Champion and World Champion, Jon Gildea, Double Paralympic World Champion and Jason Miles, two times Strathpuffer winner. Having enjoyed the, both CX  Badlands Princess Risborough and its previous incarnation at Henley I looked at the date and timing of the Woodcote version and considered it a useful test in the build up to this years Dirty Revier (130)Planning has gone well and having spent the previous evening enjoying an early valentines weekend with the current Mrs H, I channel my inner Jacques Anquetil with the right amount and Champagne, good food and rest it was with a degree of apprehension I dragged my self out of my warm hotel bed to travel the 30 minutes from Oxford down to the CX registration aka Woodcote community centre. Having been warned about the lack of parking I was delighted to realised that my promptness was rewarded with the choice of spaces which were then quickly filled up around me in a matter of minutes.
